About the event
In the pursuit of ideological diversity, universities are faced with the difficult question of "how." Should hiring processes include "affirmative action" for minority political affiliations? Should professors remain neutral? The Harvard College Union Society poses for debate the resolution: "Professors Should be Required to Incorporate Diverse Ideologies into Their Curricula."
Supporters argue that ideological inclusion in curricula fosters an unbiased learning environment. Critics may contend that requiring neutrality stifles academic freedom.
Join us for what will surely be an exciting first debate of the semester!
