About the event

Hosted by the MIT Free Speech Alliance and the student MIT Open Discourse Society, the MIT Great Debate Series will be holding a debate on the resolution, "American Universities are too Dependent on International Students."


In the affirmation, James Fishback, CEO of Azoria and founder of Incubate Debate, and Nathan Halberstadt, Partner at New Founding.


In the negation, David Freed, former COO of Crimson Education and Harvard alum, and Chris Glass, Professor of the Practice at Boston College and Editor-in-Chief of International Higher Education.

The debate will be moderated by Anant Agarwal, Founder of edX, Professor of EECS MIT, and Chief Academic Officer of 2U.
